Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using SportsStack at sportsstack.com.au, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.

The service

SportsStack provides free sports quizzes, daily games, leaderboards, and a collectible World Cup sticker book feature. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time without notice. We will endeavour to notify registered users of significant changes by email.

Eligibility and age requirements

You must meet the following requirements to create an account:

• United States: You must be at least 13 years old. Users under 13 are prohibited from registering in compliance with COPPA. If you are between 13 and 18, you confirm you have parental or guardian permission to use the service.
• European Economic Area: You must meet the minimum digital age of consent in your country, which varies between 13 and 16 years. Where required, parental consent must be obtained before registering.
• Australia: You must be at least 13 years old.
• All other regions: You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age required by the laws of your country, whichever is higher.

We reserve the right to terminate accounts where we have reason to believe the age requirements have not been met.

Your account

• You must provide accurate information when creating an account.
• You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity under your account.
• You may not create multiple accounts to manipulate leaderboard scores or gain unfair advantages.
• We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms without prior notice.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use automated tools, bots, scripts, or any other method to artificially complete quizzes, inflate scores, or manipulate leaderboards.
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the platform, its databases, or underlying infrastructure.
• Use the platform for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws or regulations.
• Impersonate another person, entity, or SportsStack staff.
• Transmit any harmful, offensive, or disruptive content through any feature of the platform.
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the platform.

Leaderboards and scores

Your username and quiz scores may be displayed publicly on SportsStack leaderboards. By using the platform you consent to this. Your email address is never displayed publicly.

We reserve the right to remove, adjust, or invalidate scores we believe to be the result of cheating, automated play, or exploitation of bugs. Decisions regarding leaderboard integrity are final.

Intellectual property

All content on SportsStack — including quiz questions, game mechanics, design, branding, and the World Cup sticker book concept — is the property of SportsStack and may not be reproduced, copied, distributed, or commercially exploited without prior written permission.

Sports statistics, player names, club names, and historical data are factual information used for educational and entertainment purposes. SportsStack is an independent fan platform and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any football club, sports league, or governing body.

User-generated content

At present SportsStack does not include user-generated content features such as comments or forums. If such features are introduced in the future, these terms will be updated accordingly.

Disclaimer of warranties

SportsStack is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that:

• The platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.
• Quiz content will always be accurate, current, or complete. Sports data — including player transfers, records, and statistics — is updated periodically but may not always reflect the most current information.
• Any errors or defects will be corrected.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, SportsStack and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the platform, including but not limited to loss of data or loss of enjoyment.

Australian Consumer Law: Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any right or remedy, or any guarantee, warranty, or other term or condition, implied or imposed by the Australian Consumer Law which cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

Privacy

Your use of SportsStack is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these terms by reference. Our Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal information, and your rights in relation to it under applicable laws including the Australian Privacy Act 1988, GDPR, UK GDPR, COPPA, and CCPA.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. For material changes, we will notify registered users by email where reasonably practicable. Continued use of SportsStack after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. The date at the top of this page indicates when the terms were last revised.

Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of SportsStack shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria, Australia, except where prohibited by applicable consumer protection laws in your country.

If you are an EU consumer, you may also have the right to bring proceedings in the courts of your country of residence under the Rome I Regulation.
